INNOVATION MANAGEMENT IN THEORY AND PRACTICE (July 30th, 2018)
On 30th July 2018, Emerging Technologies Lab hosted an event on “Innovation Management: In Theory and in Practice” at ECR – DCE, EME College NUST from 10 am to 2 pm, where the speaker person was Dr. Abdullah Ismail (Former Founding Director – Ajman University Innovation Center (AUIC)). The workshop was open to all public and students from other universities were also a part of the audience at the workshop and a total of 20 participants were present on the event. The workshop was divided into 3 sessions, where each session focused on different aspects of innovation and in the end all key points were integrated with the current innovation scenario occurring in Pakistan.
ASPIRE EDUCATIONAL CONSULTING ( February 9, 2018)
Educational consultancy in collaboration with Aspire was conducted by Ms. Anushia, International Representative from the University Of Nottingham Malaysia. Various scholarship opportunities regarding different fields of engineering were discussed.
FULBRIGHT(USA) SCHOLARSHIP SESSION (February 21, 2018)
Fulbright scholarship conducted a session where it pointed out the flagship scholarship program of the U.S. Department of State as Pakistan has had the largest Fulbright Program in the world. Information on scholarships was provided that are collaborated with HEC to fund 25 PhD scholarships each year for the next five years.
VIRTUAL REALITY WORKSHOP (February 24, 2018)
Workshop on Virtual and Augmented Reality was conducted by Mr. Haris Ahmed, founder at AIYIN and an expert in the field of graphics and virtual reality. The workshop addressed concerns such as how we can use them to make our life more interesting? How we can benefit the world from this Technology? Can we use AR/VR in our projects and how?
WORKSHOP ON MS PROJECT (April 14, 2018)
Workshop on MS Project was conducted by Dr. Afshan Naseem, a software engineer who specializes in the field of technology management. The workshop covered aspects such as plan development and budget management etc on MS Project.
SEMINAR ON MACHINE LEARNING AT SCALE (May 23, 2018)
The seminar was conducted by Dr. Suleiman Ali Khan, a Senior Machine Learning Scientist at the renowned University of Helsinki, Finland and Hussnain Ahmed, a Senior Data & Cloud Specialist who has 10+ years of professional work experience with large multinationals including Tieto Finland, Microsoft, Nokia Siemens Networks and Aalto University. The seminar delivered a broad understanding of what makes ML so powerful along with the recent developments and how they are impacting the technological and society landscape
